On Thursday, Oct 13 th at 7 pm, Trent Valley Archives (TVA) will hold a virtual Open House. It will feature several experienced archivists and historians speaking about their most valued Archives items. From Mrs. Helm’s Cookbook (Mrs. Helm was related by marriage to the Bradburns, a prominent Peterborough family) presented by Associate Archivist, Heather Aiton Landry, to preservation of B&W photographs described by Examiner photographer, Pat Marchen, you’ll be fascinated by what can be found. In addition, Elwood Jones, TVA Archivist, will enlighten you about some of his favourites including the 1895 Bird’s Eye Map of Peterborough and the Commonplace Book. You’ll also be treated to a tour of the Archives as well as an acknowledgement of the recent Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) grant supporting TVA’s archival work.
