On Thursday evening, 27 April 2023, at 7 pm, Trent Valley Archives (TVA) will present a talk by Bruce Gravel on “100 Years of Rotary in Peterborough.”

An accomplished author, Bruce has written 7 books: five are humourous short story collections, and 2 are novels. Bruce’s stories have been published in various magazines and newspapers, including Maclean’s, Reader’s Digest, the Globe & Mail, and the Peterborough Examiner. He currently writes a weekly humour column for Peterborough This Week.

A member of the Peterborough Rotary Club since 2008, Bruce was club president in 2016-17. He is a two-time Paul Harris Fellow. Bruce chaired the club’s historical publication committee that produced the 100th Anniversary commemorative book, with the invaluable assistance of his wife Frances. Bruce’s book is available at TVA.

The talk will be followed by the Annual General Meeting of TVA. The public is invited to participate but members only are eligible to vote at the AGM.
