Description
On December 6, 1960, Mr. Douglas Yaxley, a City of Peterborough employee, in the course of installing a parking metre on the Brock Street parking lot, made a disturbing discovery. He had unearthed human remains. Little did he know that his discovery would begin a chain of events that continue to have implications today. This publication by the Peterborough Chapter of the Ontario Archaeological Society tells the stories behind that initial discovery and its subsequent repercussions.
