Scope and contents: The fonds consists of a copy of a panoramic photograph of the Knights of Columbus participants in a regional meeting held at Cobourg on Tuesday and Wednesday, 4-5 June, in 1924. This was described as the 21st annual gathering of the Knights of Columbus in Ontario.
According to the Canadian Press reports, one of the officers was Past State Deputy George Hanrahan from Windsor, father-in-law to J. J. Duffus. In this photograph, J. J. Duffus is seen at both ends of the picture.

Custodial history: Donated by Peter Duffus on January 22, 2022. Peter is the grandson of J.J. Duffus who is in this photograph.
Administrative history: The Knights of Columbus was founded in 1884. It came to Canada in 1897, and to Ontario in 1900. After the first branch was established in Ottawa in 1900, branches were established in Peterborough, Kingston and Cornwall in 1903, and the Ontario State Council was formed in 1904. By 1910, there were 24 councils and over 3,500 members.
