Biographical sketch: Barbara Mary Lee (nee Dawson) (1918-2019) was the daughter of William Welford Dawson (1891-1977) and Alice Maud Stewart (1885-1952); she married Willard John Lee (1912- 2005) in 1943. They had three children, Phillip William, David John and Alice Elizabeth. Barbara’s keen interest in her families’ histories in South Monaghan and Otonabee meant that she compiled wonderful records and scrapbooks.
This photo album contains photographs depicting Barbara’s great uncle Dr. George Eli Marshall. Dr. Marshall’s mother was Ann Bateson (1839-1891) who married George Marshall (1832-1915). Hannah Dawson, Dr. George Eli Marshall’s wife, may have originally created this album. Hannah’s parents were William Dawson II (1819-1879) and Miriam Hodgins (1831-1911), making Hannah the great Aunt of Barbara (Dawson) Lee.
