Stories to advertising is about 6:4 ratio.
The Lindsay Daily Post, vol 43, 294 January 3, 1939, was usually 8 pages per issue. The features included local, regional, national and international news as well as interest in sports, radio, and all the features of a daily paper. Volume 44, #1 was Saturday, January 15, 1939.

Biographical Sketch/ Administrative History

The Thursday Post was first published in 1933, by Wilson and Wilson Publishers, Lindsay. The firm was founded in 1898, but George W. Wilson and F.W. Wilson arrived from Port Hope to Lindsay by 1893, and converted the Lindsay Post from a weekly to a daily April 8, 1895. The Lindsay Post was published as a daily until 2007. The name changed to Lindsay Post and it was published until June 2014.
In 1938, Wilson and Wilson Publishers operated in Lindsay, Ontario. The company name has continued to the present, and it still prints church envelopes and other printing contracts.
The Thursday Post could be subscbed for 50 cents a year; the Daily Post was 3 cents a day or 12 cents a week. Its daily circulation in 1939 was 7,776; this was more than double six years earlier.
Both papers were published by Wilson & Wilson Publishers.
