A. Cunningham fonds
Dates of Material:
1 mounted photograph. The oval photograph is pasted off-centre on a pre-marked matting board with a designated area marked for the photograph. It is off-centre and. The mat board may have been designed for a vertical portrait, as the photographer’s identification mark appears as a recessed embossment running at the lower left at right angles to the photo. There are signs of foxing and darkening but the photograph is otherwise excellent.
Scope and Contents:
Group of five men in business attire. The photograph was from the studio of A. Cunningham, who ran a photography business in Havelock beginning in 1897 and in Norwood in 1899. One descendant identifies the gentleman second from left as William Moore (1879-1964). Moore went to Saskatchewan in 1907, and stayed there about a dozen years before returning to the St Catharines area.
Open to researchers.
Donated to the Trent Valley Archives by Robert W. Shewman, Mississauga, 1909

We need a history of the photographic business of A. Cunningham
The other four gentlemen have not been identified.
