Scope and Contents:
The typescript history of the military experience in Peterborough, Ontario, 1857 to about 1950, as told in 1916, 2 volumes, by Francis H. Dobbin and updated c. 1960 by Col. R. J. Bolton. The Dobbin volumes are titled “Peterborough Militia” and essentially constitutes the full history of the Peterborough Rifle Company and the 57th Battalion cum Regiment. Col. Bolton’s volume tells the history of the Prince of Wales Rangers, 1920-1945.
