Biographical sketch: Garnet Augustus Green was born in 1872 to parents William John Green and Charlotte Wright. His family lived at 375 Brock Street, close to his father`s tailor shop at 145 Hunter Street. Uninterested in his father`s profession, Garnet began his career as a photographer, working in Lakefield. In 1895, he married Annie May McBurney, moving in together at 342 Stewart Street. They had a child together, Roy Elvin, but unfortunately Garnet wouldn`t live long enough to witness his birth. In 1900, at age 28, he died of “inflammation of the brain.”
