Introducing Trent Valley Archives Heritage Brands

After diligent research and careful planning, Trent Valley Archives is pleased to announce the launch of our line of Heritage Brands encompassing historic maps, local history books and high-quality, limited edition puzzles made from original historic photographs.

Stoney Lake Historic Puzzles

We are launching our Historic Brands line with the release of two puzzles from the Fairbairn Collection of over 150 black and white glass plate negatives. Jack (J. M. R.) Fairbairn (1873-1954) was the main photographer; other photographs in the collection are attributed to his wife, Hannah (née MacFarlane). The family maintained the cottage at Stoney Lake, north of Peterborough, since the 1880s.

Purchase Online

To make a more interesting and attractive puzzle these two black and white photos have been scanned at a high resolution and then colourized paying close attention to the colours popular in that time period. Photos of both the original black and white image and the colourized version are available for purchase from Trent Valley Archives. Other images from the Fairbairn Collection, and many others from the more than 900 collections at Trent Valley Archives are also available.
